Sofia Vergara, Sara Ramirez Nominated for NAACP Awards

Sofia Vergara, Sara Ramirez, Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldana are all up for NAACP awards this year!

Sofia is being recognized for her hilarious role as Gloria Pritchard on Modern Family with a nod for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Sara Ramirez was recognized for her role as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy with a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series while Selena was recognized for Outstanding Performance in a Youth/Children's Program (Series or Special) for her work on Wizards of Waverly Place. Even Dora the Explorer got some love with a nod for Outstanding Children's Program.

Our personal favorite new artist Bruno Mars caught the NAACP's attention last year as well and was nominated for Outstanding New Artist while Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas were recognized for their efforts with a Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration.

Zoe Saldana was nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture while Benjamin Bratt's movie, La Mission, was recognized as one of the Outstanding Independent Motion Pictures of 2010.
