When Shakira and Gerard Pique arrive in Miami, you know the party has only begun!
This week, the Colombian singer and Spanish soccer player went out on the town, starting at Zuma Miami at midnight for a (super) late dinner with some friends and followed by some steamy dancing at Mokai. Pique even reportedly let loose and sprayed Moet Rose on the dancing crowd.
Both Shakira and Pique deserve a break, he just came off a very succesful season with his team FC Barcelona and the pop star just wrapped her world tour in support of her album Sale el Sol. Plus, as per usual, Shakira is putting her money where her mouth is, having recently penned a moving editorial for the Huffington Post on the importance of education.
In the piece, the Colombian songstress and activist reflected on her visit to Jerusalem for the Third Israeli Presidential Conference.
She visited the Max Rayne Jerusalem School while in Israel, which she called “an inspirational place where half of the student population is Israeli and half Palestinian. Students learn together, across all divides, speaking both Arabic and Hebrew, learning and playing together without difference.”
Shakira also wrote about the work of her charity, the Barefoot Foundation. “I was convinced that increasing access to education was one of the few options a country like Colombia had to win the battle against poverty and violence. The schools that Barefoot Foundation continues to build and operate in Colombia are now educating about 6,000 students. Our projects in Haiti and South Africa serve hundreds more.”
With all of those heavy thoughts weighing on her, we're glad she had some time to blow off some steam with her new honey.
