Sexual Abuse Charges Against William Levy Dropped

William Levy, who has been defending himself against charges of sexual abuse of a minor since last year, can offically declare "Case closed!" According to AOL Latino, the charges brought against the Cuban Triunfo del Amor star have been dropped.  17-year-old Karla Álvarez accused Levy of forcing her to practice oral sex on him after a performance last year and was demanding $2.5 million in damages.

But now, lawyers for both Levy and Álvarez have reached an agreement.  According to Telefutura’s La Tijera show, the 30-year-old actor’s representatives also agreed to retire the countersuit for attempted extortion they'd filed against the teenager and her mother in a Florida court. Levy claimed his innocence since the beginning of this legal debacle, sticking to his story that the charges were an attempt to blackmail and extort money from the telenovela star.
