Selena Gomez, 19, is sharing something in common with starlets like Shakira and Jennifer Lopez. The “Love You Like A Love Song” singer is launching her own fragrance line and letting her fans select the sweet notes. Before the results were calculated, Gomez shared her vision for the new scent, "I want it to be really romantic. I want it to be sweet and sophisticated."
Voting for the new perfume has officially ended and the results included a delicate balance of raspberry, purple freesia, and vanilla notes. According to Hollywood Life, Gomez shared her excitement for the new product with fans, “Thank you so much for participating in helping me create my new fragrance!” She added, “I am very excited to share this new perfume with each and every one of you.”
Gomez has already posed for the fragrance’s ad campaign, which will have a romantic and aquatic theme. She revealed the photo to Facebook fans with the caption reading, "Shot in a giant fish tank all day yesterday for my new fragrance."
The new perfume appears to be an addition to Gomez’s already growing empire. In 2009 the Ambassador for UNICEF, launched her successful clothing line for Kmart “Dream Out Loud by Selena Gomez.” The line reflects her personal style and is created by eco-friendly materials. BSCKids.com reports that the fashion line earned $100 million last year.
