Selena Gomez on Turning 21 & Not Regretting Anything in Life

Selena Gomez is turning 21 on July 22 – and already has her special day planned out.

Asked by ET Canada if she will be celebrating with alcohol during her festivities, the singer/actress chuckled.

“I'm going to enjoy being 21, absolutely, of course,” she said. Gomez added that she plans on throwing a birthday bash.

“My family from Texas, my friends [and] my cousins are flying in,” she said. “I will have some of my best friends in L.A.”

This birthday seems grander in comparison to how Gomez spent her 19th birthday two years ago. In 2011, the starlet opted for a low-key day with her friends for her birthday and, instead of gifts, she told E! News that she preferred if they donated to charity.

As for turning 21, Gomez said that she sometimes feels like she’s 15 at heart.

“You know, sometimes I just go in waves of being a child and being an adult,” she said. “It's awkward, I am growing up. I am just trying to figure out who I am."

Still, it seems as though Gomez has maintained a good head on her shoulders throughout her time in the spotlight. She is fine with how her life has played out.

“Everyone goes through things, the bad and the good, and at the end of the day, I don't regret anything,” she says. “It makes me who I am.”
