Pregnant with emotion, more like.
Selena Gomez was doing press for her new movie Hotel Transylvania 2 (in theaters September 25th) when she dropped knowledge about her new-found confidence. But because this is the *~Internet*~, her 3-minute-long interview—where she was poised, well-spoken, and absolutely lovely—has been overshadowed by an unfortunate choice of words.
Gomez exclaimed to E! News in Miami, "I feel like I'm a pregnant woman at nine months and I just want the baby to come out already because it means the world to me, and it's so great for me to actually be heard."
It's clear that time has been a wonderful thing for Gomez. She discusses how she feels different with age, "I'm only wanting to be who I am. I'm very comfortable in my skin and I'm so proud of what I've done. I'm a lot kinder to myself than I used to be. So, if anything I just want that to translate."
She continued, "To be able to have my time is the best feeling. There were so many people who had their opinions. Once I went through the scrutiny, I had to find my voice in all of it. And that took a lot of change, and transitioning, and I think I finally reached that place where I can be heard."
We hear you, girl. And sorry about blowing up your spot regarding the P Word. Selena Gomez's forthcoming album "Revival" drops October 9th and we can't wait.
