Selena Gomez Denies Rivalry with Miley Cyrus

It doesn't seem like we're going to have another Britney vs. Christina on our hands with the new generation of Disney stars, Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus. 15-year-old Selena, who is rumored to be Disney's next big franchise, tells E! Entertainment that she and Miley have had a good laugh over the gossip that there is a bitter feud between the two. "We're literally like, It's fine. It's all good," Gomez recalled. "She's Miley and I'm Selena."

Laughs aside, Selena reveals that it's sometimes nerve-wracking for her to be compared superstar Miley: "It's a little overwhelming, but I think really, it's a compliment," she says. "She's obviously extremely successful, and I think she's a wonderful performer...So being compared to her, I was very, very flattered."

Until she hits the big time, Selena's focusing on finishing her album ("Soon, soon, soon," she says when asked about the release date) and just being a teenager. The singer/actress turns 16 next month: "I'd like to have a huge, fun and crazy cake," Gomez said. "I kind of want a Mad Hatter style cake like Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz's [wedding] cake. I want to have karaoke, and I'm going to have a photo booth. It's going to be really just strictly family and friends."

We're glad Selena is enjoying her last few or months of relative obscurity, because before we know it she's going to be taking over Miley's crown as Queen of the Celebrity Teens—and if history teaches us anything, it's that scandal is usually not too far behind.
