Selena Gomez won’t be making a trip to the Land Down Under in 2014. The 21-year-old singer has cancelled the Australian and Asian leg of her tour, telling fans that she needs to focus on herself.

“My fans are so important to me, and I would never want to disappoint them,” the singer said in a statement. “But it has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be.”

A source close to the singer says there’s nothing to be worried about, and Gomez is in a great place. “She’s looking forward to spending the holidays with her family,” they said.

No one can deny that Gomez is one busy woman. She recently played 55 dates across the U.S. and Europe with her “Stars Dance” tour, which ended on Nov. 26.

“She’s been on the road for six months, and she’s just ready to be normal and at home with her family,” the source says. “She’s been working nonstop since she was 15, and wants to take a minute to herself.”
