There's no doubt that stars get tattoos as often as they hit the red carpet! Selena Gomez is the latest star to get inked. It's not the 20-year-old superstar's first tattoo, however, and she's definitely not the only one of our celebs who have chosen to express themselves permanently on their skin.

The former Disney star already has a small music note tattooed on her inner wrist (which she has mentioned is influenced by her being named after the late Selena Quintanilla), as well as a cross. Her latest form of ink expression? A “LXXVI” on her neck, which translates to the number 76. According to famous tattoo artist Bang Bang (who inked Gomez's neck), the numeric tat was a tribute to a family member who Gomez said means a lot to her.

The 20-year-old pop star has numerous tats, including a whimsical design featuring the word “faith” by celeb tattoo artist and fellow Latina Kat Von D. And then there’s lips on her wrist, feathers on her side, “You make me beautiful” also on her side… you get the drift. So how much thought goes into Lovato’s tattoos? “Most of the time I don’t even plan it, it’s just very spontaneous and impulsive — and it’s not good!” she said during an interview backstage at Wango Tango 2013.

The Avatar actress has more ink than meets the eye! Zoe has one tat on her foot, which means, "I want to ask her" in Arabic. She also has a star tattooed on her wrist and another Arabic phrase on her mid-back.

4. Tattoo: Jessica Alba

Not everyone knows that Jessica Alba is tatted up, but the star has at least three tattoos. She has the Sanskrit word "Padma" (meaning lotus flower) on her left wrist, which symbol of spiritual development as well as the manifestation of beauty and mental purity in the Hindu faith. Alba also has a tattoo of a daisy with a ladybug on it on the back of her neck, which she says she, her mom and her aunt did together as a “bonding experience,” and a girly bow adorns her lower back.

Pitbull has a ton of tattoos but the most significant are the musical notes on his wrists and the tattoos he got in honor of his mother and children. "This is my life, my hustle,” Pitbull has said of the music notes. “It's all about music, because music is basically what's been my avenue out of maybe being involved in things I shouldn't be."

The former reality star sports six tattoos (at least that we’re aware of). Her popular rosary tattoo on her left ankle is a symbol of Richie’s faith, but she also has a pair of angel wings on her shoulder blades along with the name Richie on the back of her neck. Richie has a tiara on her lower hip area, a shooting star on her right wrist and ballet slippers—mentioned in Lionel Richie’s “Ballerina Girl”—on her lower abdomen area.

The pop star has quite a few interesting tattoos. Her nickname, "Xtina," is tattooed across the back of her neck. On her bikini line, Christina has a Mickey Mouse tattoo, which she claims is in memory of her younger years. After her marriage to Jordan Bratman, the star got another tattoo on her inner left arm with a design that says, “Te Amo Siempre” along with her husband’s initials in Hebrew. On her lower back she has the Hebrew saying: “I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine.”

Tattoo artist to celebs and reality star Kat Von D has more tattoos than we can count, and unlike other celebrities, Kat claims that not all her tattoos have meaning. "I like to get stuff that I like to look at. Most of my tattoos are just pretty girls and pretty flowers." One of Kat’s favorite tattoos is a portrait of her mother on her left shoulder. She originally had one star on each temple but soon after started adding more stars in honor of her favorite song: Motley Crue’s “Starry Eyes.”
