Sorry Beyoncé, you're gonna have to share the limelight now. Robinson Cano is now the new face of Pepsi, Fox News Latino reports.
The 30-year-old dominicano for the New York Yankees is set to star in the giant company’s national Major League Baseball marketing campaign. Cano, who captained the All-Star Game held in NYC’s Citi Field on Monday, will make his debut in a commercial for the official sports drink of the major league during the Major League Baseball All-Star Game today.
The Yankess’ second baseman made headlines earlier this year after signing with Jay-Z's Roc Nation Sports as the rapper’s first client.
In a statement, Cano said that, at this point in his career, “I am ready to take a more active role in my endeavors on and off the field. I am confident that the pairing of Roc Nation Sports and CAA Sports will be essential in helping me accomplish my short- and long-term goals.”
