Diego Boneta to Headline 'Rock of Ages' Movie Opposite Tom Cruise!

1. Replaced: Can't Buy Me Love

Amanda Peterson (Can't Buy Me Love) & Christina Milian (Love Don't Cost A Thing)

In the 1987 teen comedy Can’t Buy Me Love, Amanda Peterson played Cindy Mancini, a spoiled and popular high school cheerleader who pretends to fall in love with a high school nerd (Patrick Dempsey) after he offers her $1,000 to pretend to be his girlfriend for a month. In 2003, Cuban actress Christina Milian starred in a remake of Can't Buy Me Love called Love Don’t Cost A Thing, in which she played Paris Morgan, a beautiful cheerleader who agrees to date a nerd named Alvin Johnson (Nick Cannon) after he agrees to fix her car.

Christopher Meloni & Danny Pino, Law & Order: SVU

When Christopher Meloni left Law & Order: SVU after 12 seasons last May, a lot of people thought the show would suffer creatively. But the addition of Cuban actor Danny Pino, who replaced Meloni as the show's male lead this fall, has actually given the show some new edge.

American Idol alum Constantine Maroulis played the role of Drew Boley in Rock of Ages on Broadway, but in the upcoming Rock of Ages movie starring Tom Cruise and Alec Baldwin, the role of Drew will be played by Mexican actor Diego Boneta!

4. Replaced: Beverly Hills 90210

Jason Priestley (Beverly Hills, 90210) & Tristan Wilds, (90210)

In the hit 90s TV series Beverly Hills, 90210, Jason Priestley played Brandon Walsh, a popular high school student from Minnesota who had to adapt to life in Beverly Hills. In the 2008 remake of the hit series, Dominican actor Tristan Wilds played Dixon Wilson, a popular high school student from Kansas whose family moved to Beverly Hills. Like Brandon, Dixon has a serious gambling problem and a sister who has a flair for drama. Same storyexcept that in the updated version the star is Latino!

5. Replaced: Footloose

Sarah Jessica Parker & Ziah Colon, Footloose

In the 2011 remake, Footloose, Puerto Rican actress Ziah Colon plays Rusty Rodriguez, the iconic character played by Sarah Jessica Parker in the original 1984 film of the same name.
