In case you haven't heard the tragic news, E! has cancelled What Would Ryan Lochte Do?, the reality show centering around the life of Olympian Ryan Lochte. While short-lived, the show provided us with endless laughs and plenty of gratituous shirtless shots of the chiseled Latino. Let’s start with the obvious: he’s won 11 Olympic medals! There’s nothing sexier than a man who’s good at what he does, and let’s face it, Ryan Lochte is one of the best swimmers on the planet.
He loves his mamá:
The 29-year-old swimmer has never been shy about his affection for his Cuban mother. He regularly posts Twitter updates telling his 1 million followers how much he loves her!
His favorite place is the Dominican Republic!
The cubano admitted that his favorite place in the world is the beautiful Dominican Republic. We love when Latinos represent Latin America!
His idol is a fellow Latino.
The swimmer confessed that his role model is fellow Latino Pablo Morales, who won the the Olympic Gold in 1992 in the 100-meter butterfly.
His bucket list? Traveling to Brazil!
When asked about his main goal, he answered that he wants to go to the 2016 Olympics in Brazil! Lochte plans on “going another four years” all the way to Rio. We can’t wait to see one of our favorite Latinos in one of our favorite Latin American cities!
He’s a dog lover.
Lochte adores his 87-pound Doberman, Carter. He even admitted that the huge pet thinks he’s a lap dog and sits on him as he drives! Que precioso!

He’s not afraid of color.
Lochte is one colorful, bold Latino who’s definitely not afraid to take risks with his wardrobe! He’s famous for his wild wardrobe, including his blinged-out neon sneakers and wacky sunglasses.
He’s got a great sense of humor
The super-fit swimmer doesn’t take himself too seriously. He posted this hilarious picture on Twitter with the caption, “Just chillen at the swim meet. No big deal.” We couldn’t help but laugh out loud at the adorable snapshot!

He has his own catch phrase.
The swimmer coined his own catch phrase, Jeah!, when he just a child, and he used it regularly throughout the 2012 Olympics. The word is a catch-all term used to describe anything amazing. The athlete loves using his signature phrase so much, he even attempted to copyright it in 2012. Jeah!
He’s a hopeless romantic.
On an episode of What Would Ryan Lochte Do?, the swimmer dished on finding his soulmate. “I won’t give up on love,” he said, “I believe everyone has a soul mate that they can spend their life with. I know there’s one girl out there for me, and I’m going to keep looking.” Hey, Ryan, maybe you should try looking over here in the Latina office?
He’s looking for a girl who can make him laugh.
Lochte told The Daily Beast what he was looking for in a woman, and it wasn’t “tight abs” or “blonde hair.” His sweet response? A woman who makes him laugh! He said, “You know, honestly, if a girl can make me laugh, I’m pretty much sold...Life is too short to wait, you have to experience it and enjoy it as much as you can. If they’re on the same page as me with that, we’re sold.”
He stays in shape.
The Olympian undergoes a rigorous training routine every single day. According to the E! program, he swims for at least two hours every day! But it doesn’t stop there. After swimming practice, he heads to strength training for another hour. “If you want to become the best,” he said, “You’ve got to train better than the best.” We think all that hard work paid off, don’t you?
