Proud Papa Gerard Piqué Gushes About Son Milan's Birth, First Pair of Kicks

Milan Piqué Mebarak may only be two days old, but when your parents are Colombian superstar Shakira and Spanish soccer hunk Gerard Piqué, fashion can't wait. Proud papa Piqué posted a picture on his WhoSay page of his son wearing his first pair of Nikes with his name stitched on top.

"Milan's feet!" Piqué wrote.

Like any new dad, Piqué was all smiles when reporters asked him about the birth of he and Shakira's son, which was revealed in a tweet and a statement on Shakira's website.

“I was very nervous,” Piqué said. “It isn’t the same as when you see it on TV.”

Piqué, who left the hospital to go to soccer practice, was right by Shakira’s side during the delivery and admitted he cried "just a little bit" when Milan was born.

“It is a unique moment,” said the 25-year-old FC Barcelona player.

Although Piqué headed straight back to the soccer field without much bonding time with baby, new mama Shakira won’t have much of a break either. In March, she and Usher will be temporarily replacing Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green as judges alongside Blake Shelton and Adam Levine on the fourth season of NBC’s The Voice.
