Pitbull Snags the BMI's President's Award!

2012 is starting off with a bang for Pitbull.

The Cuban American rapper has proven to be the certified king of number one hits and will be honored for his tracks with the President's Award at the 19th annual BMI Latin Music Awards on March 31st in Las Vegas. Mr. 305 is a multifaceted artist who has produced smash hits in a variety of musical genres.

The Year of the Dog: Pitbull Reigns Supreme in 2011

Pitbull has collaborated with the likes of stars like: Shakira, Marc Anthony, Enrique Iglesias, Usher, Lil Wayne and more. His single featuring Ne-Yo, "Give Me Everything" was one of last year’s top singles, which sold 8.2 million copies and hit the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100. Pitbull, born Armando Perez, also climbed to the number two spot on Billboard’s Latin Albums chart for his album “Armando.”

The prestigious BMI award is granted on "unique occasions when an individual songwriter or executive has distinctly and profoundly influenced the entertainment industry." We can’t think of a better recipient.
