The 40-year-old mother-of-two, who is married to fellow Spanish actor Javier Bardem, is gracing the cover of Esquire's November 2014 issue wearing a very low-cut black bathing suit. The men's magazine describes her as "impossibly beautiful" and citing, "when she walks into a room, men start walking into furniture."
In her cover interview, Cruz reveals that she used to have a flair for the dramatic but says she's since changed a lot.
“I’ve played a lot of tricks on myself,” she said. “I’ve made it hard for me sometimes, especially in my teens and twenties. I had an attraction to drama. Most of us have that, especially if you are an artist — you feel like you are tempted to explore the darkness."
"I could not be less interested now. For me, the most attractive, charming, cool, fun, interesting thing — how could I call it? A plan.”
Penelope Cruz's Esquire cover hits stands on October 21! You can read her full interview here.
