Padre Alberto Cutié will be a papi for the second time!
The Boricua-born Episcopal cleric told Peopleenespanol.com that he and wife Ruhama B. Cutié consider their second child as a gift from Jesus, “who is giving us another child in this very special time. It’s the best Christmas present that we could receive.” The 42-year-old was a Roman Catholic priest until a scandal broke out, in which he was spotted canoodling at the beach with his now-wife. The former priest left the church in 2009.
Cutié and his wife won’t know the sex of the baby until mid-January. The married couple already has a daughter, 1-year-old Camila Victoria. Ruhama also has a 17-year-old son named Christian Norton of a previous relationship. “Christian is very excited, he was the first person we told,” Cutié said. “The baby doesn’t want to walk, she wants to run. When we were looking for gifts yesterday in the store, everyone would tell me ‘Father Albert, how beautiful is she!’ Camilita has the entire church’s attention. She is a little princess.”
In an interview with Latina this past summer, Cutié spoke about being much happier now that he’s married and has a child. “I think every human being has been created to love and be loved. I think that makes us different from creation. In many ways, I think I lived a very lonely life in the past even though I was surrounded by a lot of people and crowds,” he said. “I think when you allow yourself to love and be married and have the type of love I have in my life now, I think it changes everything. Love changes everything.”
Congrats to Cutié’s family!
