Oscar De La Hoya has been released from rehab after three months, reports Fox News.

The 40-year-old retired boxer was released two weeks ago, after checking himself into the facility for alcoholism in September.

“Oscar is doing really well and is now going to lots of (AA) meetings and determined to follow his after care program,” a source close to De La Hoya told Fox.

“He also really wants to help other people with addiction problems. He wants to do whatever he can to serve.”

De La Hoya took to his Twitter on Wednesday to thank those who have stuck by his side during this tough time.

“I am grateful and humbled for all the support I’ve been receiving,” he wrote. “Life is better than ever before #1day@atime #GOD.”
