Nicole Richie is proving that she's dedicated to keeping her new, substance-free life on track by getting back into the drug and alcohol counseling she was ordered to undergo as part of the plea bargain following her 2007 DUI arrest.
Life & Style is reporting that Nicole is returning to an 18-month program of group meetings, one-on-one counseling and alcohol education.
“She’s very cooperative and humble—she seems determined never to get into the same situation again,” reveals an insider. “She wants to put the whole ordeal behind her. She has a family to focus on now, and that has given her great strength.”
Who would have thought a year ago that this scarily skinny, foul-mouthed, pill-popping and hard-partying socialite would turn out to be a mature, responsible mother? If Nicole could do it, maybe there's hope for Britney after all...
