Michelle Rodriguez on Wage Gap: “It’s like Being Born a Slave”

Michelle Rodriguez got blunt about being a working woman in Hollywood.

The "Fast and Furious" star was asked by TMZ about the Hollywood wage gap and how she feels about getting paid less than her male costars. Rodriguez nonchalantly responded that while yes it's unfair, it's just the way society is.

“Yes, I get paid a lot less than my colleagues,” Rodriguez told TMZ. “I don’t complain. I’m not gonna whine about it. It’s like being born a slave. It’s like, ‘Aw, damn, darn my luck.’ You know? I wish I was born somewhere else or maybe some other way, but it is what it is.”

“That’s the world we live in, it’s a patriarchal society,” she continued.
