| 01/18/2013 - 14:19 |
Four-time Grammy and seven-time Latin Grammy-winning rock legends Maná will perform at the official presidential inaugural ball on Mon. Jan. 21, a separate event from Eva Longoria's Latino Inaugural 2013.
The Mexican rockeros and longtime Obama supporters join a list of superstars, which includes Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Katy Perry, Usher, John Legend, and Jennifer Hudson, who will perform in honor of President Obama’s second inauguration.
Maná, a quartet fronted by Fher Olvera and formed in Guadalajara in 1986, have become global ambassadors for the Latin rock genre, selling over 30 million albums and becoming the biggest Spanish-language bands in the U.S.
They continually sell out arenas across the country and hold the record for the most sold-out shows at L.A.’s Staples Center.
