According to MTV, 30-year-old Cuban American rapper Pitbull, and the producers of his hit song, "Give Me Everything," are being sued by Lindsay Lohan over the lyric, “I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan.”
According to the website, the lawsuit was obtained by TMZ and in it, Stephanie Ovadia, the actress’ attorney, claims that the lyric is “destined to do irreparable harm to the plaintiff.” The suit, according to MTV, seeks an injunction to stop all defendants (Pitbull, Ne-Yo and Afrojack) from broadcasting the song.
Lohan isn’t new to the court system. Driving under the influence (DUI) incidents and stints in rehab have plagued the 25-year-old actress’ career, keeping her under constant media scrutiny. In the suit, Lohan is noted as “a professional actor of good repute and standing in the Screen Actors Guild.”
According to MTV, she is suing under the New York civil-rights law, which protects people from having their name exploited for commercial purposes. No comment has been made by a spokesperson for Pitbull. The rapper has found tremendous success with “Give Me Everything,” which hit the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart earlier this summer.
