Looks as though Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes will for sure get their own television show. As we reported back in April, the buzzed-about married couple had been shopping around a scripted comedy series based on their lives.
In a recent interview with People, 30-year-old Rimes said she and her Cuban American actor-husband are “doing a TV show based on our reality.”
“We'll take things out of our lives and elaborate them and make them funny,” she said. “People have been laughing at us – we want them to laugh with us!”
That statement says a lot; Rimes and her handsome hubby are definitely not immune to the fact that they’re fodder for ugly gossip. Cibrian and Rimes met while filming Lifetime's Northern Lights in 2009 and fell in love on set – both were married at the time. The couple is also notorious for having hideous drama with Cibrian’s ex-wife Brandi Glanville for quite some time, consistently making headlines for ugly jabs at each other.
According to People, Rimes and Cibrian’s planned show has yet to secure a title or network, but the country singer seems to look forward to working with her husband again.
“That's why we explored the idea of doing the show, to be able to be together,” she explained.
For some reason, Rimes said that everyone is so interested in her and Cibrian’s lives, with little knowledge of them.
“What they read is what they see,” she said. “We want to be able to take control of our lives again so we want to do a show about us, about our lives, but scripted.”
