45 Signs You Live in a Latino Neighborhood

Have you ever lived in a Latino neighborhood? Then, you know it’s filled with plenty of noise, movement and colorful characters. There are some unique telltale signs of having settled in a hood dominated by our Hispanic brethren.

Whether you live in New York City, Miami, Los Angeles, or elsewhere, we’re sure you’ll get a kick out of this mega-list. You know you live in a Latino neighborhood if:

1. Latin music blasts on Saturday mornings.

2. You see cars parked on front lawns – multiple cars.

3. Hair and nail salons are filled to the brim on Friday and Saturday nights. You can’t blame the ladies – they’re just trying to look on point for the weekend.

4. Some women opt for pajama pants and their chanclas to run their daily errands because, well, ain’t nobody got time fo' that.

5. Some people don’t bother to open their front doors with actual keys, but instead yell up to the [insert number] floor to have someone throw their keys down.
