Just in case you didn’t know, summer '17 belongs to Luis Fonsi, Cardi B, and DJ Khaled, with a major shout out to Carlos Santana.

These artists are holding down the top three spots on the Billboard Hot 100, which means there's a Latin artist/music movement bubbling.

Fonsi’s "Despacito" featuring Daddy Yankee was so hot that Justin (Cannot Remember the Words) Bieber jumped on the remix. It stayed at the No. 1 slot on the Billboard 100 for 15 weeks, making it one of the longest-leading songs on that chart.

And the video for the reggaeton banger became one of the most watched videos on YouTube—collecting an estimated 4 billion views.

Not to be outdone, Cardi B came speeding up the same chart to crack the No. 2 position with “Bodak Yellow.”

She has every chica from Brooklyn to Miami singing: “I don’t dance now, I make money moves.”

The Love & Hip Hop: New York alum said she was the “hottest in the street” and it wasn’t just talk.  Jon Caramanica, pop music critic for The New York Times reported that “Bodak Yellow” climbed to the No. 3 spot after being out for merely seven weeks. It's No.1 on Billboard's Hot Rap Songs chart.

Cardi’s “bloody moves” will continue now that she’s teamed up with Latin trap pioneer Messiah, for the Spanish version of this song.

And clocking in at No. 3 is DJ Khaled’s “Wild Thoughts.”  And yes, we know that Khaled isn’t Latino, but his infectious summer jam featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller trading sexual innuendos borrows heavily from Carlos Santana’s 1999 hit “Maria Maria.” (Shout out to The Product G&B, they delivered the smooth vocals on Santana’s classic tune.)

Recently, Santana told Billboard that DJ Khaled’s version gives his song a “timeless summer vibe.”  We agree.
