Word on the street is our favorite superheroine Wonder Woman could be hitting the big screen, if Hollywood could stop giving excuses. According to USA Today, the these excuses include that she's too Amazonian and too feminist; the movie would be a bust at the box office; her storyline isn't interesting enough and her attire is too "skimpy" for action-packed scenes.
Kristy Guevara-Flanagan, the filmmaker who created Wonder Women! The Untold Story of American Superheroines and the Wonder City game, said "Female heroes are scarcely seen on screen, even rarer if you subtract all the Disney princesses. Wonder Woman is an obvious choice for a female superhero film, yet she has been overlooked for decades."
We couldn't agree more! And seeing that one of the most iconic Wonder Woman portrayals came from Latina Lynda Carter, we're apt to put another in the limelight. Here are 12 Latinas we believe would fit the role just right:

Alexis Bledel: If Alexis could land the role as Wonder Woman, it would only give her a career boost as a sexy, crime-fighting heroine -- especially if the movie were to hit box office numbers like The Avengers and other superhero flicks. Why cast Alexis? Her blue eyes are reminiscent of original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter. Add some black hair dye and kick-butt moves to Alexis, and she's ready to go!
Natalie Martinez: She played Detective Jamie Lovato on CSI: NY and she was the spokesmodel for JLO by Jennifer Lopez. What makes this Cuban star Wonder Woman worthy? She already knows what it means to be a crime fighting chica.
Daniella Alonso: Do we even need to specify what the reasons would be to cast this Puerto Rican-Peruvian beauty as Wonder Woman? Just look at her dark hair and perfect brows. Plus, Daniella currently stars in NBC's Revolution, so she's perfect for starting a female revolution.
Alexa Vega: Remember Alexa's Spy Kids days? Well, she could definitely bring along one or two of those skills if she played Wonder Woman.
Sara Paxton: Sara definitely carries somewhat of an All-American look to her, so throwing her in a red, white and blue outfit would be quite the perfect fit.
Chloe Bridges: Okay, Chloe so here's the deal. While you're not exactly one of our favorites on The Carrie Diaries, we've gotta admit that those lips, hair and eyebrows make for a pretty sexy Wonder Woman.
Majandra Delfino: We hear Majandra danced with the Miami Ballet back when she was 10, so we're pretty confident she's still super flexible. Who wouldn't want to see the star of Wonder Woman doing a ton of crazy flips? We know we would, and Majandra would be perfect!
Maiara Walsh: Being 100 percent Brazilian, Maiara would bring an extra kick of exoticness to the Wonder Woman franchise.
Nicole Gale Anderson: How cute is Nicole? With her sweet next door look, we can totally see her playing the part and reducing excuses that Wonder Woman looks too skimpy. And also, bad guys would underestimate her, making easier to beat them.
Victoria Justice: With Victorious over, we think Victoria needs something more than just her music career. Casting her as Wonder Woman would take her out of her Nickelodeon image and she could even suggest music for the movie's soundtrack if she wanted. We see a win-win situation here.
Courtney Ford: Something about Courtney just screams Wonder Woman to us. We're not sure if it's her eyes, the silky hair or just the fact that anyone that stars in True Blood must have the key to knowing how to make a franchise successful.
Julie Gonzalo: The Argentine-American actress can transform from sweet to tough to sexy in a matter of seconds. Seems like she's been auditioning for Wonder Woman her whole life.
