Exclusive: Dania Ramirez Says Imagen Awards Were "Truly Amazing!"

The stars came out in their red-carpet worthiest digs last night for the Imagen Foundation Awards, honoring the crème de la creme of Latinos in the entertainment industry.

Not surprisingly, we learned that everyone loves Ugly Betty, which snagged Best Primetime Series and Tony Plana as Best Supporting Actor and also took home a Lifetime Achievement Award. However, we’re massively confused as to how Christina Milian, who apparently starred in some show called Snowglobe, beat America Ferrera for Best TV Actress.

Our favorite tearjerker, La Misma Luna, blew the competition out of the water with wins for Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Best Director.

Our favorite moment, though, was definitely Heroes star Dania Ramirez winning Best Supporting TV Actress. She called this morning, and clearly wasn't over her excitment at winning. She told us: "I am so blessed! It is an overwhelming feeling of joy and pride! It is always great when you get recognized for your work. And to be recognized and supported at a latin award show and look at so many familiar faces in the audience was truly amazing! God knows it's been hard. I wanted to cry and laugh at the same time! I honestly didn't know I would win, so I didn't prepare a speech. I figure if I won, whatever I said would come from the heart.." can you not love her? Oh, and of course Selena Gomez was there. Though she also lost to Christina Milian in the best TV Actress category. Again, we're just as confused as you are, but good for Christina for somehow managing to stay relevant!
