Vanessa Bryant, who filed for divorce from NBA star Kobe Bryant last month citing “irreconcilable differences,” will obtain the couple’s three estates in California with an estimate value of $18.8 million. The Mexican beauty and the basketball star married without a prenuptial agreement when he was 21 and she was 18. Their ten-year marriage often received media attention for the Los Angeles Lakers player’s reported infidelities.
The couple allegedly split amid new reports pointing to Bryant’s unfaithful ways. The mother of two daughters, 8-year-old Natalia and 5-year-old Gianna, stuck by her husband during his infamous sexual assault trial in 2003. Bryant admitted to having sex with 19-year-old, Katelyn Faber, but the assault was strongly denied. After the case was dropped, Bryant bought his wife a $4 million diamond ring as an “apology gift.”
Despite the heavy price tag of $75 million for the divorce settlement, People.com reports that the divorce proceedings are continuing on peacefully. Bryant’s soon-to-be ex-wife is already living in one of the couple’s homes she now has soul ownership of, while her mother lives in another estate.
TMZ is also reporting that producers for the hit VH1 show Basketball Wives are fishing for Bryant’s ex-wife to sign on for the new season. If she accepts, she will be one of the lead stars on the series’ California edition.
