Justin Bieber doesn't usually kiss journalists after being interviewed at an awards show. But tonight, the teen superstar made an exception, since his girlfriend Selena Gomez was the one asking the questions!
Gomez, who served as a correspondent for tonight's MTV Video Music Awards Pre-Show, interviewed Bieber on the black carpet and asked him all the hard questions, including who he was wearing, whether he felt nervous about being up against Eminem and Bruno Mars for Best Male Video, and if he was excited to see Beyoncé perform. After Bieber explained his outfit ("I have red pants and cheetah shoes"), Gomez thanked her man for the interview. "Thank you so much. Thank you for hanging out, babe," she said to Bieber. That's when Justin leaned in and planted a big, wet kiss on Gomez's cheek. How cute is that?
Gomez also interviewed her good friend Demi Lovato on the black carpet, who dished to Gomez about her new album, "Unbroken," which is due out on September 20th. "It's definitely not pop/rock how I used to do. It's definitely more radio-friendly," Lovato said. "It's more R&B, it's more pop, and I think you guys are going to like it." Lovato also revealed some of the people she collaborated with on the new album. "I got a lot of collaborations with Timbaland, Missy Elliott ... Jason Derülo," she said, to which Gomez replied: "You love Missy Elliott!"
Well done, Selena! You would make a great journalist!
