Colombian rocker Juanes celebrated the United Nations’ International Day of Peace yesterday in Geneva, Switzerland. The 39-year-old superstar is also unveiled the new “Paz Sin Fronteras” (Peace Without Borders) video at the UN offices.
There is no shortage of Latino mega-stars in the video; Puerto-Rican singer Ricky Martin, part-Spanish musician Miguel Bosé (who is accompanying Juanes tomorrow), and Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria are a few. The video, which encourages the message “Peace is a Human Right,” also stars Dominican legendary singer/songwriter Juan Luis Guerra, Mexican singer Paulina Rubio, and Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal. After Juanes’ presentation, multiple versions of the video will be posted on Paz Sin Fronteras’ website in English, Spanish, and French.
You can also catch Juanes in an episode of Sesame Street titled “The Latinization of Marco,” alongside fellow Colombiana Sofia Vergara in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month (airing October 4).
