The incredibly gorgeous, immensely talented actress Jordana Brewster is Latina’s February 2013 cover girl! In honor of the talented Brazilian actress, we are taking a look back at some of our Brewster's best film and television moments.
In her newest role, Jordana Brewster joins a much loved television tradition on TNT’s return of the classic prime time soap Dallas, no pressure huh? The gifted actress plays newcomer Elena Ramos, the daughter of the Ewing family cook. It probably won’t come as a surprise that Brewster’s character is trapped at the center of a love triangle between John Ross Ewing III (Josh Henderson) and Christopher Ewing (Jesse Metcalfe). If only that was our biggest problem!
Brewster landed her first movie role in Robert Rodriguez’s 1997 sci-fi hit The Faculty. She used her devilishly charming good looks to portray the popular, but malicious, head cheerleader and newspaper editor-in-chief Delilah Profitt. Brewster playing a character with beauty and brains, this doesn’t surprise us!
Fast & Furious
Reprising her role as Mia Toretto in the fourth installment in The Fast and the Furious franchise, Brewster continues to play the sister of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), only this time viewers witness her come into her own, and boy is she tough! Audiences noticed, and she earned a Teen Choice Award for an actress in an action movie. Fast cars and the exquisite Brewster, every guy’s dream come true!
All My Children
Brewster’s stint as Anita Santos on All My Children may have only been a onetime appearance, but it certainly got the beautiful teenage brunette noticed. This first foray into daytime soaps was enough to help land her her next soap opera gig.
As the World Turns
Brewster’s second and longest lasting role to date was a recurring spot on the long running CBS soap As the World Turns from 1995 to 2001 as teen Nikki Munson. The stunning actress was nominated for the Soap Opera Digest Award “Outstanding Teen Performer” in 1997 for her role on the show.
It seems that Brewster is some kind of magnate for action films! In the Charlie’s Angels style action comedy D.E.B.S., the actress plays lesbian villainess Lucy Diamond. Craziness ensues when bad girl Diamond meets, and finds interest in, D.E.B.S. Academy honor student Amy Bradshaw (Sara Foster), the very woman who should be bringing her down.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning
Brewster shines in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, the prequel to the 2005 remake of the famous slasher movie, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The becoming Brewster plays leading lady Chrissie, a woman attempting to free her friends from the traps of Leatherface. One aspect of Brewster’s performance that certainly wasn’t overlooked was her blood curdling scream which was nominated for a Teen Choice Award for best scream. She was also nominated for Scream Queen at the Scream Awards and a Teen Choice Award for Choice Horror Movie Actress.
Four episodes were all she needed to capture the attention of fans of NBC’s spy comedy Chuck. Brewster plays the title character’s tricky college girlfriend, Jill Roberts, who is consistently in and out of trouble for playing for both the hostile intelligence group, Fulcrum, and, less often, the CIA. One of her most memorable moments on the show was a seductive black brassiere strip down she performed in an effort to seduce Chuck (Zachary Levi). Muy caliente!
