Alba, 34, landed the cover of the latest Forbes' America's Richest Self-Made Women issue in recognition of her company, The Honest Company. The Honest Company was founded in 2012 after Alba suffered an allergic reaction to a baby detergent she used. Her personal need for safe health-focused products also sparked from her own sensitivity to asthma and allergies. Alba's goal was to produce nontoxic baby products that were affordable and cute not only for her two daughters Honor, 6, and Haven, 3, but for all children.
The Honest Company is valued at $1 billion, while Alba's personal net worth is estimated at $200,000.
