We seriously want to feel happy for Jessica Alba, who already lost 25 pounds only three months after giving birth to sweet little Honor Marie, and proudly pranced in a teeny little bikini while on vacation in Mexico. But we’re only human and can’t help but feel a little jealous of the actress since we don’t even have a newborn to blame for our flabby abs.
To be fair, we are sitting on our butts eating greasy unmentionables, while Alba has been hitting the gym nonstop since giving birth on June 7. Her trainer Ramona Braganza told People, "She worked out an hour a day, five or six days a week, and stayed on a strict diet of about 1,700 calories a day, losing 600 calories because of exercise."
Alba stuck to a low-fat, low-carb diet as part of Braganza's 321 Baby Bulge Be Gone plan. She made "amazing progress in a very short time. She really works at it," Braganza says.
People says Alba was on her best behavior, never straying from her trainer’s 12-week plan. And now, Braganza says she encouraged the actress to “take some time off and enjoy your body. It's good to treat yourself after all that hard work."
Instead of letting all of this jealousy fester, we’re going to use Alba’s dedication and hard work as an inspiration—right after we finish eating this cupcake.
