Though Jessica Alba recently told us that she's not as stressed out about her second pregnancy as she was about her first, she still admits to a bit of trepidation when it comes to the birthing process. She has used a unique method in the past to control her anxiety, and is now recommending it to all pregnant women.
The young mom recently endorsed the process of "hypnobirthing," which is a method that embraces relaxed, natural childbirth using self-hypnosis techniques. Hypnobirthing classes help teach women relaxation techniques that will help them give birth in the calmest, gentlest and safest manner possible.
"It’s [birth] different for everyone, although I do recommend the hypnobirthing classes,” Alba told Us Weekly. “I highly recommend it. It just makes you chill.”
The star admits that she wasn’t nearly as relaxed for the birth of her first child, Honor Marie. “I was freaked out going into it my first time going into labor. Like what if I panic? What if I just freak out and I don’t know what to do?”
