Jennifer Lopez opened up recently about the day she found out her parents split. In the August 2013 cover story of W Magazine, the Puerto Rican international superstar talked about that difficult time in her life, as well as everything from her upbringing to her childhood home.
“I was nervous coming here today,” the 43-year-old said as she, writer Lynn Hirschberg, and her longtime manager Benny Medina turned the corner onto a residential street in the Bronx, where she was raised. Lopez motioned to a white two-story home surrounded by a gate and mentioned that that’s the home where she grew up.
Medina asked Lopez if she wanted to knock on the door of the house, to which she said: “No. I don’t want to go inside.”
