Finally! After an endless stream of suspense, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony welcomed two bundles of joy early Friday morning at North Shore Hospital in Long Island, N.Y. Lopez's manager, Simon Fields, tells People that the couple's new baby girl arrived at 12:12am, weighing 5 lbs. 7 oz., while the boy followed at 12:23 a.m., weighing 7 lbs. No word on the baby names yet (could they be the names you voted for?), but Lopez's manager adds, "Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled and over the moon." So are we, mamita!
Although the buzz around Lopez's pregnancy was deafening for months, confirmation didn't come until the final stop of her co-headlining tour on Nov. 8, where a beaming Lopez told her Miami fans, "Marc and I are expecting a baby!" As it turns out, the star was expecting two babies, which also went unconfirmed until her dad, David Lopez, broke the news to Escándalo TV and said, "I'm very proud. Jennifer has yearned to be a mother for many years." With security at North Shore Hospital airtight for nearly a month now, J. Lo-watchers have been in a frenzy over a string of rumors and false reports, including one that the star was already in labor as early as Feb. 1. Now, at long last, we can all rest easy...well, not quite. We want those baby names!
