Jennifer Lopez Completes Triathlon

An "injured foot" wasn't going to keep Jennifer Lopez from achieving her goal of completing the Nautica Malibu Triathlon this past weekend.

The singer and new mother of twins completed the race in 2 hours, 23 minutes and 38.8 seconds, throwing her fists in the air and grinning ear-to-ear as she crossed the finish line of the swimming, running and biking event.

"Thank you guys so much," she told the assembled crowd of fellow competitors and her fans. "This is an amazing day. I feel really great and so glad I finished and that I made it out of the water but more amazing than that, I feel really great that we raised $127,000 for the Children's Hospital [of Los Angeles] and hopefully it'll go to good use," she added.

Jennifer had her own personal cheering section on the sidelines as she raced: her husband Marc Anthony, sister Lynda Lopez, trainer Gunnar Peterson and her Wedding Planner costar and fellow triathlete Matthew McConaughey, who completed the race in an hour and a half. Matthew's girlfriend Camila Alves and their newborn son Levi Alves McConaughey were also in attendance in the VIP tent at the finish line.

While Jennifer achieved her dream of completing the race, she dashed those of the finalist on Project Runway, who were looking forward to having the fashion icon as the celebrity guest judge on the finale of the show this past Friday. That is, until Jennifer dropped out the night before due to a "foot injury," according to host Heidi Klum.

However, Jenny's trainer, Gunnar Peterson, had a different story: "no injuries. All good," he told OK! magazine at the event. Umm, so, how about an explanation for dropping out of the television event of the season (well, at least according to us)? Unfortunately, Jennifer's camp is remaining curiously mum about her real reasons for bailing on the hit show.

After completing the tiring race around noon, Jennifer and Marc barely took a moment to rest before reportedly hoping on a plane back to New York City, to host Marc's 40th birthday bash at the Bowery Hotel.

We're still not sure how she managed to get from the race in Malibu to the party in New York City in the same day, but we gotta admit we're impressed by Jennifer's dedication to all the things she commits to—well, almost all the things she commits to...
