Jennifer Lopez is “The World’s Most Powerful Celebrity” according to Forbes. The celebrity list details the 100 most powerful celebrities by money and fame, including their presence on social media, like Facebook and Twitter. (It's all about the followers and fans!)
Jennifer Lopez comes in at a cool $52 million (or a rank of 30 in money). She was ranked high in TV/radio (10), press (22), web (13) and social (19).
“Suddenly a single mother, Lopez lapped up the media attention and scored lucrative endorsement deals with companies like L’Oreal and Gillette. She now has a line of clothing at Kohl’s, a top-selling fragrance and she was able to secure a nice bump—to $20 million–on her Idol salary for a second season. With 6.6 million followers on Twitter and 12 million fans on Facebook, she’s also proved a master of social media,” writes Dorothy Pomerantz in Forbes.
So what other Latinos made the list? Cristiano Ronaldo (44), Rafael Nadal (47), Cameron Diaz (59), Alex Rodriguez (63), Sofia Vergara (76), Eva Longoria (81), and Adriana Lima (100).
Jennifer Lopez knocked Lady Gaga from the number one position this year and we're definitely interested to see if she can hold her spot next year! One thing’s for sure: she’s certainly not Jenny from the block anymore.
