Inside Jennifer Lopez's Surprise B-Day Bash for Marc Anthony

Jennifer Lopez has revealed all the glamorous details of the gigantic surprise birthday bash she threw for hubby Marc Anthony. How you keep a party of this scale a secret is news to us, but apparently J. Lo managed to do just that.

Step one was tricking Marc when he asked about potential birthday plans. "I told him it was such a busy weekend, that I might not be able to do anything," she told People. It was a good cover, considering the same day of the party she was competing in a triathlon on the opposite coast, in Malibu, Calif.

The night of the party she told him they were going to a dinner to celebrate pal Katie Holmes's debut on Broadway. The plan worked. "I can't believe we pulled it off. He was so blown away," she gushed.

The party was held in the Bowery Hotel in New York and designed to look like Havana's famed Tropicana nightclub. The party planner, Liberty Woodman, told People J. Lo was going for a "sexy vibe with the casino and showgirls." Dita Von Teese performed a striptease, and there was a salsa orchestra, mojitos, and showgirls donning feather headdresses.

In attendance were plenty of the couple's A-list pals including Brooke Shields, Leah Remini, Paulina Rubio, Johnny Pacheco, Veronica Webb, Kimora Lee Simons and Donatella Versace. There was gambling, dancing, and even a performance of "My Man" by La Lopez herself.

Following the glitzy party, the happy couple and their little ones, Max and Emme, jetted off to Italy and Greece for some downtime. J.Lo called People from the yacht to gush about the twins. "They are crawling and teething," she said. "Emme is always very calm and quiet. Max is kinda very boy. He's brawny and tough. He likes to scream and yell sometimes, and she's kinda looking at him [like], 'Hey, why are you screaming.' "

Whew. J. Lo clan, slow down! Between the triathlon in Malibu, party in New York and European yacht vacation this week, it feels like we're playing "Where's Waldo"!
