Ever wondered what Sofia Vergara and our cover girls Eva Longoria and Zoe Saldana have in common? Besides being Latina (of course), all three have huge hearts!
Here’s a quick summary of each actress’ latest philanthropic efforts:
Sofia Vergara: According to World News Local, the Modern Family star is co-chairing BeLive – a star studded gala that aims to raise funds for four Colombian nonprofit organizations.
The organizations that will benefit from the event include Give to Colombia, Fórmula Sonrisas, Genesis Foundation and ArtNexus Foundation. We’re not surprised in the least that the 39-year-old Emmy-nominated actress jumped on board with the project since it gives back to her native country.
The event, which will also feature a performance by 332-year-old colombiano Fonseca, will take place on Nov. 17 at The Ritz-Carlton in South Beach, Miami.
Eva Longoria and Zoe Saldana: Our cover girls have re-defined what it means to have holiday spirit! Did you know that they’ve designed holiday greeting cards for charity.
Mexican American actress Eva Longoria and part-Puerto Rican, part-Dominican actress Zoe Saldana have joined three other A-list celebrities in a partnership between Tiny Prints and the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation (EBMRF). In total there are 15 festive cards. Jennifer Aniston, Catherine Bell, and Bridget Moynahan also participated.
According to Look to the Stars, a portion of the proceeds will benefit EBMRF, which aims to prevent and help children and adults with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), an inherited tissue disease that causes blisters in the skin.
About her involvement with the project, 36-year-old Longoria said, “The holiday season is a very special time for family and giving back. It was an honor to help design a holiday card for Tiny Prints that benefits EBMRF and their efforts.”
