This comes at no surprise, really.
Jennifer Lopez was recently named the "World’s Greatest Musical Comeback Act" and it wasn’t determined by a panel or fan votes. This was based on pure numbers. According to the Los Angeles Times, the Boricua superstar’s ranking came from Accuracast, a digital search agency that analyzed one billion online Google searches from 2004 to present. We’re not one to toot our own horn, but we think Latina.com definitely helped boost J.Lo’s Google cred. Do you know how many times we’ve Googled that woman?!
The 42-year-old singer/actress beat out other Latinos for the top spot, compatriot Ricky Martin and part-Venezuelan songstress Mariah Carey were hot on her heels. It isn’t rocket science to understand how Lopez landed where she has; her business savvy has landed her numerous lucrative deals and she always seems be busy working on new projects. Lopez also had tremendous success with her smash hit "On The Floor," which made it to number five on the Billboard 200 charts.
This past April, People Magazine named the star as the “World’s Most Beautiful Woman.” La Lopez also experienced incredible success with her 17th fragrance, Love & Light, which sold out in just six hours while she appeared on the Home Shopping Network (HSN). Also, who can forget Lopez’s judging gig on American Idol? Her seemingly endless list of projects is overwhelming enough that we created a whole slideshow about it recently.
As for her love life, it is definitely of great interest to Lopez’s fans; she and estranged husband Marc Anthony rocked entertainment media this past summer when they announced they were splitting after seven years of marriage. Since then, Lopez has been romantically linked to hottie actor Bradley Cooper and now Los Angeles-based Casper Smart.
So yeah, no wonder J.Lo was ranked "World's Greates Musical Comeback Act."
