No wonder Gisele Bündchen was recently included in Forbes’ list of the world’s 100 most powerful women—she's always working! In May, we reported on the supermodel launching her own lingerie line and now, the 31-year-old Brazilian has been named the new face of fashion retailer Esprit’s fall campaign. According to an Australian newspaper, Bündchen’s autumn-winter campaign is part of a strategy to give the ailing company a boost. Once a powerhouse brand, Esprit has fallen on bad times over the past decade.
Sophia Hwang-Judiesch, who heads retail and wholesale for the company in Australia, said the Brazilian beauty “embodied the elegance, charisma and naturalness the brand was trying to represent.”
“She's not a girl,” Hwang-Judiesch said, “she's a woman with the natural Californian spirit of the Esprit brand.”
The ad campaign, which was shot by David Sims and styled by French fashion stylist Camille Bidault-Waddington, features Bündchen in three different jackets by the fashion retailer.
