Get Ready To See A "Tougher" Jennifer Lopez on 'American Idol'

When season 11 of FOX’s hit show American Idol premieres in January, expect to see a very different Jennifer Lopez than the one you saw in season 10. "We're a little tougher on everybody," the judge told at a Samsung Hope for Children event supporting the Maribel Foundation in Los Angeles. "Because of last season and the standard that we set, it's easy to go, 'Is he as good as even our top 24 from last year?'

Lopez also tells that the new talent on season 11 is “amazing. "It's not like you find people just like that, but the ones that we found, we know are very special," she said. She also says it's great to be back at the judge's table with fellow judges Steven Tyler and Randy jackson. "They're like my brothers and they drive me crazy like brothers, too," she said with a laugh. "But we love each other, which is why we've become like a family," she said.

In other Jennifer news, the Puerto Rican superstar covers Glamour magazine’s Women of the Year December issue, and she looks stunning in a low-cut skin-tight red top tucked into sailor pants. The singer, who split from husband Marc Anthony a few months ago, tells Glamour that if she were in a new relationship, she’d want to keep it out of the public eye. "I think to give something a chance, to really get to know somebody, you want to do it out of the public eye," she says.

Lopez adds that the most important relationship you can have is with yourself. "I think I've finally learned the biggest lesson of all," she says. "You've got to love yourself first. You've got to be OK on your own before you can be OK with somebody else. You've got to value yourself and know that you're worth everything. And until you value yourself enough and love yourself enough to know that, you can't really have a healthy relationship."
