Gabe Saporta is a married man! The 33-year-old synth rocker (who was born in Uruguay) wed his fashion designer fiancée Erin Fetherston on Sunday in Barbados.
A rep for the newlyweds said the couple chose to tie the knot in the gardens of the “historical St. Nicholas Abbey plantation” of the island country. According to the rep, “Fetherston wore a gown of her own design, and Saporta wore a custom Gieves & Hawkes suit.” At the wedding, guests toasted the newlyweds with Belaire Rosé.
Images of the wedding will be featured in Martha Stewart Weddings' September issue… which means we have to wait to see them, unfortunately.
Saporta, who is usually very active on Twitter, has not tweeted anything about his wedding to Fetherston, only a lone tweet that read: “Barbados,” accompanied by a gorgeous, pink and purple-tinged photo of a sunset, uploaded from his Instagram account. Fetherston has also remained mum on the big day.
Barbados seemed like a fitting place to tie the knot, since that’s where Saporta popped the question to Fetherston.
Earlier this year, we reported about the rocker’s proposal on New Year's Eve. In an interview with People, Saporta said he had woken up at dawn to collect coral and flowers from the beach next to their cottage.
“I used them to write out my proposal on our patio and then I woke Erin up in a frenzy to come see a ‘monkey’ that had appeared in our backyard,” he shared. “My sleepy-eyed bride quickly realized the only monkey that morning was me … and of course, she said, 'Yes!’”
Such a romantic!
Congrats to the couple – we wish them the best!
