Talk about taking a very dramatic approach to gain attention!

Former RBD member Christian Chavez put millions of his Twitter followers into a panic recently, after he decided to fake his own suicide, The Huffington Post reports.

Chavez posted images of himself with slit wrists and spilled alcohol bottles. After discovering the photos were fake, fans of the 30-year-old singer began tweeting angry messages calling Chavez "selfish" and saying "what some people do for fame...pathetic."

Fans also urged the former RBD member to get psychiatric help.

According to TV Notas, Chavez's point in tweeting a fake death was to send the message that double standards shouldn't exist.
