What's the secret to lifelong happiness? The answer just might be therapy.
In the February issue of Allure, Fergie opens up about her 10 year relationship and marriage with Josh Duhamel, including their willingness to go to therapy to keep things working. The songstress and actor attend sessions together.
“[He’s] not afraid... He doesn’t feel like he’s not man enough [for it],” she admitted.
The couple also makes sure to put each other as a priority, never going more than two weeks at a time without seeing each other. (A feat for their busy lives and careers.)
“We’ve already talked about how we’re going to have to trade off,” she told the magazine of their immediate future plans. “He’s going to have to come on tour with Axl for a while, and then there’ll be a break. He’ll take a job; I’ll be on set with [Axl].”
Asked about Duhamel's initial mention to a reporter that his crush was Fergie, the singer joked: "Yeah, yeah, exactly — he just wanted to get in my pants." But now, Fergie relishes in her stable, loving relationship.
“We just grew. And we grew into realizing that we wanted the same things in life. We wanted the same path,” explains Fergie. “We both come from Catholic families.”
“He’s there for me, really there for me.”
