Dismal news for Miguel. The fan who the singer accidentally landed on at the Billboard Music Awards may now be suffering from brain damage.
Khyati Shah, who was accidentally injured by the Grammy Award-winning artist during his performance on May 19, is experiencing difficulties that are “cognitive in nature,” according to her attorney Vip Bhola. Bhola added that the difficulties the victim is experiencing “lead to suspicion of a neurological head injury.”
In an exclusive interview with TMZ, Shah’s lawyer said that the Billboard Music Awards responded to the accident with a pathetic gesture -- an ice pack.
As we previously reported, Shah iced her arm and told a Billboard editor she still adored Miguel. Bhola says his client should have been rushed to the hospital instead.
No details have been made on whether or not Bhola has spoken to Miguel’s legal team, but the attorney says his client’s conditions have worsened since the incident.
Shortly after the accident, Miguel took to Twitter to address the humiliating moment (for both him and his fan).
“Got caught up in the moment, thank goodness Khyati is okay,” he tweeted.
Bhola told TMZ that his client is awaiting test results from a neurologist. The results should come in sometime next week – it would be then that Shah will decide to pursue a lawsuit.
Do you think the fan should pursue legal action?
