EXCLUSIVE: Mondo Guerra Opens Up About His Love Life

Project Runway All Stars contestant Mondo Guerra dedicates his design work to his friends and family every time his garments hit the runway. This talented Mexican-American fashion designer also knows that love keeps him grounded. Guerra spoke to Latina.com exclusively about returning to the show after being the runner-up and how love got him through it all.

The idea of returning to the competition was “a little daunting” to Guerra, but it started to set in when he was sitting in front of the judges. He told us he began to think, “'Oh my gosh, I’m here again. I’m doing this for so many more people other than family and friends now.'”

Now, he has a dedicated partner, Ken, who has been there since the beginning of this process. “I actually met him when I was {creating} my mini-collection to audition for Project Runway," Guerra said. "When I met him, he didn’t even know what Project Runway was, so when I was whisked away to tape season eight, he was watching season seven to kind of figure out what this whole Project Runway thing was."

Though the couple has only been together for two years, Guerra continued, “I feel like we’ve been together for ten years to tell you the truth.”

“We have experienced things in our relationship that some couples will never experience,” Guerra added.

Certainly being in a relationship with a reality show fashion designer is something many couples will never experience. We're glad he found someone who is accepting of his creative passion.
