Our cover girl Eva Longoria supports President Barack Obama, but would pass the opportunity to run for his position. Recently honored at Variety’s 3rd Annual “Women of Power” event, the 36-year-old Mexican American actress said she plans on supporting Obama on his second campaign trail. “Hopefully with a second term, if we get him elected, he will be able to do more for the country because his hands won't be tied,” Longoria said.
“There are a lot of issues that he is going to have to tackle,” she said. “I wouldn't want his job.” We already figured the actress wouldn’t want his position—she’s doing quite well on her own. Forbes just released its list of Hollywood’s 10 highest-paid TV actresses and we were excited to see Longoria right at the top of the list, tied with funny girl Tina Fey for first place! Each woman earned approximately $13 million between May 2010 and May 2011. Longoria earns the most out of her fellow co-stars on Desperate Housewives because of endorsement deals, like her gig with L’Oreal.
Forbes compiled its list by talking to lawyers, agents, and producers to find out what each star made per episode of their respective shows, as well as money earned from endorsements or any syndication deals.
