Are the 'Devious Maids' Latina Heroes? Eva Longoria Thinks So!

Having recently earned a master's degree in Chicano Studies, Eva Longoria is probably a good person to turn to if you're trying to gain a better understanding of the Latino community.

In an interview with E! News, Longoria said that her involvement with Devious Maids could be attributed to her education. "I'm not the authority of Latinos, but I definitely have a perspective that Marc [Cherry] respects and I'm a very big advocate in my community and so I'm happy to contribute in that way," Longoria told E! News.

Devious Maids is centered on five Latina maids that work for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills. The five ladies begin to form a strong bond after a fellow cleaner is murdered. And Longoria believes they are really Latina heroes.
