Penelope Cruz Opens Up in Uncommonly Candid Interview with The Herald

In a recent interview with Scottish newspaper The Herald she opened up about everything from her Oscar nominated roll as Maria Elena in Woody Allen's latest film Vicky Cristina Barcelona to what affect working since the age of 15 has had on her life.

The 2009 Academy Award nominations were just announced, and as expected, Penelope Cruz scored a well-deserved Best Supporting Actress nod for her role as Maria Elena in Vicky Cristina Barcelona. This marks Cruz's second Oscar nomination--her first was for Best Actress for her performance in 2006's Volver.

Demi Lovato was thrilled to be a part of the historic inauguration of our first African American President, Barack Obama. Lovato said she was moved to perform for Sasha, Malia and families of the troops at the Kid's Inaugural Concert. The pop star, 16, told MTV News, "It was just an honor that I could make them smile when their parents are fighting in another country. And especially looking down in the first row and seeing the Obamas there, it was awesome.
